Zagamilaw International Law Firm organizes the first edition of the Postgraduate Course in “Mediation and International Contracts Law”

The First Edition of the specialization course in “Mediation and International Contracts Law” is composed by two parts (based, respectively, in contract law and international mediation with specific reference to contractual matters) and a part of Legal English language teaching (dedicated to the study of Anglo-Saxon legal terminology and the drafting of contracts in English, with classes taught in English and the assistance of tutors in the classroom).

Organized in collaboration with ‘”Angec Srl” and the “CeSdi”, the Course will be held in Reggio Calabria from September 28, 2012 to December 1, 2012 for a total duration of 50 (fifty) hours total, divided according to a schedule weekly meetings on Friday (afternoon) and Saturday (morning).

The Course will focus on the following matters: contract law, property and conveyancing, equity and trusts, civil procedure, company law, family law and lessons will be taught by a faculty consisting of Professors and University Researchers and Attorneys specialized in international iediation and international law of contracts in Civil law and Common law countries and, for the language module, by mother tongue teachers.

The essentially practical skills of the course make it an interesting tool for training lawyers, practicing lawyers, students and graduates in Law, Political Science and Economics, who are interested in acquiring the basic knowledge about international mediation and the International Private Law: for attending the Course is required a basic knowledge of the private law of contracts for legal forms and a basic knowledge of the English language (level B1 and B2).

The maximum number of participants is 30 units. At the end of the course to the participants who have attended at least 75% of the hours scheduled, will be issued a certificate of attendance and reference; in addition to the most deserving will be given the opportunity to play a three-month internship (unpaid) at an International Law Firm in Rome, London, New York or Toronto. For the purposes of training, it is in the process of accreditation of the course at the Bar of Reggio Calabria the recognition of credits.

The total cost of the course is 500 euros payable in two installments the first of which – equal to half the amount – payable at the time that will be confirmed the acceptance to the course. The price includes registration fees, attendance at courses and teaching materials which will be distributed at the beginning of the course; please note that students enrolled by June 21 will receive a discount of 20%. Upon registration, you need to enclose with the application a brief CV.

In case of acceptances above the maximum number fixed (30 units), the organizers reserve the right to make a selection (by following the chronological presentation of questions and in case of contextuality referring to the CV) or activate a second course with scheduling midweek. In case of adhesions in smaller numbers than the minimum threshold of activation of the course (20 units) as at September 14, the organizers reserve the right to order a postponement of the course, which will alert the participants in writing.

In case of cancellation of registration by the participant before September 14, 2012 it will not be applied any penalty and will be refunded the full amount while in case of cancellation after this date will be deducted the amount of Euro 50.
