International Tax Planning

Ms. Silvia di Palo is a stageur at Zagamilaw from September 2013. She graduated in 2013 from the Law School of the “Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” in Milan, with a thesis in taxation law, entitled: “Gebhard rule and direct taxation: The impact of the principle of reasonableness on the Jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union.”
The idea of this dissertation had arisen after her attendance at an interesting seminar, in English, about the international taxation. In April and May, she besides deepened her research at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (University of London), where she consulted texts and interviewed some Professors.
In England she also participated in several seminars on Public International Law, such as “Public International Law in the Courts of the United Kingdom”, “Sanctions and Embargoes: International Law and Contemporary Practice” and “Legislative Drafting in Brazil: A case study of a recent codification process”.
In 2012, she attended an English class, at Kings Colleges, in preparation to the IELTS (International English Language Testing System), which she has obtained at the Eurocentres Lee Green in London.
Ms Di Palo’s mother tongue is Italian, and she is fluent in English and Spanish.
